"The IJustWantToSleep Program Can Help Stop Your Child's Snoring and Reclaim Your Child's Energy Naturally"

Dear Parents,

Book Cover
Workbook & DVD
for KIDS (ages 8-12)

The scenario may be the same for you as it is in many households. If your child snores, he or she probably tosses and turns all night. Some children also grind their teeth. Often, children wake themselves up at night with their own snoring and may insist on getting in bed with their parents . Then the parents are kept awake! Make the right decision to help your child learn how to get a good night's sleep now.

The IJustWantToSleep® for Kids program is a natural, non-invasive seven-week program to keep the tongue from blocking the airway while your child sleeps, which effectively can stop your child's snoring when it's due to mouth breathing and an incorrect tongue position. Preliminary studies show that this program has a 100% success rate to stop snoring associated with mouth breathing and an incorrect tongue position. Performing the quick and easy tongue exercises will allow your child to change his or her sleep pattern.

When morning comes, your child may be so tired that it is a battle to get him or her out of bed. Some children have to be picked up and walked to the bathroom. Your child may go to school tired, fighting daytime sleepiness when he or she is expected to process daily lessons. Children who have difficulty concentrating often behave as if they have an attention deficit disorder2. They may be irritable and combative.

A sleep disorder can affect learning. Research shows that when children are treated for sleep disorders, their grades improve1,4. Another consequence of sleeping disorder can be a vicious cycle of not sleeping well and not eating well. The day after a poor night's sleep, children often have an increased desire for fat and sugar calories. Since they are tired, they don't want to exercise. This pattern can lead to obesity, which would even worsen the sleep disorder, and can also lead to a risk for cardiovascular disease in the future. If your child snores and still has his or her tonsils and adenoids5, it is recommended that you first have an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist examine the child to determine if the tonsils and adenoids are too large3. If so, the first course of treatment is to have them removed, if the doctor so advises. If the snoring persists, the IJustWantToSleep program may be the best option for your child.

Janet Bennett has treated two of my children. The results have been nothing short of remarkable. Her methods have not only cured my children's tongue thrusts, but have also stopped them from snoring! School performance, mood, and energy levels have all improved with them sleeping so much better every night. Results were drastic, and quickly seen.

I know her program will be successful for you.

Sincerely,
George Ibrahim, M.D.

This program is for children 8-12 years of age. Usually, children under the age of 8 are not mature enough to diligently perform their exercises. As the story suggests, you and your child should agree on a special treat that he or she will receive after completion of the program. It might be a sleepover, a favorite toy, or a video game. It must be something that your child really desires and that will motivate him or her to do the exercises.

There is one major goal with the IJustWantToSleep® for Kids program. It is to train the tongue to "live" in a new place of the mouth. There are specific requirements that will make this happen.

First, the tongue muscles must be strengthened in order to feel "comfortable" living in this new position. This is accomplished by performing simple exercises each week. Johnny and Mom does exercises

Second, each exercise MUST be practiced a minimum of TWO times daily for one week. Most of the exercises can be performed while your child does homework, watches TV, or rides in the car. There are 7 lessons and each lesson has 3-5 different exercises. If the exercises are not practiced at least 2 times daily, it will be more difficult to make the new tongue position a habit.

When you and your child begin the program, look at Lesson 1 on the included DVD so both of you can see how to perform each exercise. Have your child do the exercise for you to be sure he or she is doing it correctly. It will be helpful if your child can use a small table mirror when doing the exercises. Give your child the responsibility for doing the exercises every day. Praise the child constantly, saying how proud you are that he or she is keeping up with the daily exercises. Some children need more supervision than others. You, as the parent, must decide how much is necessary. You may want to buy some stickers and give your child a special sticker every day or at the end of each week. You know the level of praise your child needs.

Each lesson builds for the next lesson. If, for some reason, your child doesn't perform each exercise two times daily for one week, do not proceed to the next lesson. If your family goes through an extra stressful period or if your child gets sick, he or she may not be able to practice each exercise two times daily. Do not get upset with your child if there are special circumstances in your household at the time. Help keep this experience as pleasant and as fun as possible. Just wait until your child has successfully practiced the present lesson, even if it takes longer than a week, before going on to the next lesson.

Sleeping JohnnyIf there is anything difficult about this program, it is just remembering to do the exercises! Use the signs that are provided, or get your child to make his or her own signs as a fun craft project. Be sure to hang the signs up where they will actually be seen! You may need to remind your child of the special treat that he or she will receive when the program is completed.

When children do the exercises, they see good results. Begin the program with your child, knowing that he or she will soon be getting a good night's sleep. Congratulations to you for recognizing the importance of sleeping well as a child, to prevent adult sleep disorders.
